New Warranty Policy- Rheem/Marathon Water Heaters. Select DETAILS for more information.Please be aware of Marathon's new warranty policy, it is as follows.
The tank for each new Marathon water heater comes with a limited lifetime warranty and all parts come with a six-year warranty. The end user or the contractor must go online (http://www.rheem.com/warranty/) and register the water heater to qualify for the lifetime tank warranty. Failure to do so within 90 days from the point of purchase will result in the water heater tank defaulting to a 10-year warranty only!

FYI - there is a huge sticker on every water heater that reminds the contractor or homeowner to register the water heater. This is a new policy that is starting immediately and will be strictly enforced by Rheem moving forward.
